FAQ

How do I care for my jewellery?

  • Enamel jewellery can be delicate so avoid any sharp knocks. I recommend keeping your jewellery in the box it comes in or a dedicated jewellery box.

  • Avoid wearing your jewellery when using harsh chemical products about the home, and take care when spraying perfumes or hairspray.

  • If your silver jewellery is looking tarnished I recommend giving it a buff with a silver polishing cloth, if this doesn't remove the tarnish use a silver dip solution (following the manufacturer's instructions) and then lightly buff with a silver polishing cloth. Personally I recommend Town Talk polishing products. If your jewellery is looking particularly mucky, I do offer a cleaning and repair service.

  • For gold jewellery, I recommend using gold polishing cloths.

How long will my order take?

  • Please leave around two weeks for any order placed from the shop as some items are made to order.

  • Bespoke jewellery can take around 6 to 10 weeks.

Is the jewellery solid silver or gold?

Unless stated otherwise all jewellery is sterling silver (925) or gold. All jewellery that is over the legal threshold for hallmarking is either traditionally struck or laser hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay office.

How do I find my ring size?

I have ring sizers available to purchase from my shop for you to measure your ring size from home. Most jewellers will be able to size your finger for you or if you would like to visit my workshop, drop me an email and we can arrange a time for you to come by to have your finger measured. Some top tips for measuring your ring size;

  • Your ring size can fluctuate throughout the day. The best time for measuring your ring size is at the end of the day, when your hands will be at their largest.

  • Make sure the ring sizer feels comfortable on your finger, it should be snug enough to be comfortable but not so loose that it falls over your knuckle.

  • For wide bands, you may need to go up a size to account for the thickness of the metal.

If your ring is the wrong size I will happily resize the ring for you once free of charge, any changes to size after this will be charged at £30.
